Bridesmaid Proposal

I never really envisioned me having like a big box that I put together to ask my bridesmaids, but then I started connecting with some really great brands and I am like .. you know what - I WANT to do something special for the closest ladies in my life. Each and every person we asked to be in our wedding party has a special significance and I thought it was a cool way to honour them by ~ surprising ~ them.

Here is exactly what I gave them!

Necklaces - Krave & Co outdid themselves with these, gold bar necklaces. Every person in my bridal party got on with their name on it - cursive on one side, and their first initial on the other in old english writing. These were so beautiful, I can’t believe how many compliments we’ve all received already. Also have I mentioned she made a necklace and named it after me?!!? It’s SO CUTE - check it out here!

Box: this was a white plastic box from Dollarama, trust me when I say that I did not know how much a BOX could be, and this made the most sense. They are versatile so they can be used after in someones bathroom, bedroom, closet, etc. and fit everything perfectly!

Cards: I got a very cute floral box set from Chapters similar to this (although I tried to avoid the “thank you” cards because I couldn’t thank them if they didn’t say YES yet haha). I also took pictures we already had together and made them polaroids from Walmart here.

Ringpops: just a cute lil sweet addition!

So I did things different for the different people I have in my bridal party…

Bridesmaids
Robes - These gooorggggeous robs were from 431 The Wedding Company, we went with the Olivia collection in rose for the bridesmaids. I love them because they are the kind of robe that will look great in photos the day of the wedding, but also are CUTE for them to keep. Also the rose colour is so rich, and isn’t too dark or too light, it’s the perfect pink hue without being cheesy. They also had so many other beautiful colours, and robe options too - it was honestly difficult to choose!

Personalized Stemless Champagne Glasses - The perfect bridesmaid accessory from 431 The Wedding Company! I was absolutely blown away by how stunning these turned out, I opted to have each of my bridesmaid’s names so that they can have it post wedding as their own special glass!

Champagne: Ok really it was sparkling wine, and I got these small bottles from the LCBO and actually put the labels to say “____ will you be my bridesmaid”. For my maid of honour I did a bigger bottle as a lil something extra special.

Jr. Bridesmaids
Tie Dye Tees - Suncrest Collective did such an amazing job with a custom pink tie dye tee for my jrs so that they had something cute and age appropriate to wear the morning of the wedding!

Personalized Mugs - This thanks to Sabrina from 3 Petite Pears for her amazing personalization skills!! They turned out perfect and the girls loved them! They mugs were clear from dollarama (they look like this but clear).

Starbucks Glass Bottle - Ok everyone loves these right?? I decided to ask the girls to be my jr bridemaids by putting it on these bottles, plus it was very on theme for the coffee loving chiro that I am.

Here are some key pieces of the night that were just perfect:

  • My BRIDE crewneck: it was exactly the right amount of bride without being cheesy, again I have Suncrest Collective to thank for this! Sparkle tights were a fun bonus.

  • Getting all my girls together: I wanted to have a day where we can pop champagne, eat good food, and have a good time together. I realize this is difficult with everyone’s busy schedule (trust me, I had to plan this). But it was so worth it to have all my girls together. It was also so nice to have all of them chat and interact more too, as well as to FINALLY start sharing more wedding details with them which was so much easier as a group.

  • Food food food: I got a huggeeeee charcuterie board together, pizza, a candy bar with my “love is sweet A & M” sign, and even cupcakes that were both me and Mario’s favourite flavours (cup of Joe mocha & red velvet) made by the talented Mary from Cristina’s Tortina’s Shop - they seriously looked and tasted amazing.

  • Poppin bottles: remembering to buy a BIG bottle for us to pop while we were together!!!

  • My “Alena’s Bridal Party Party Sign: I just loved this.

  • Not putting wedding words on their gifts: I really am not a fan of the “bridesmaid” word being plastered onto everything, so I wanted to keep it classy with some things that they could both use for the wedding day, as well as afterwards.

  • Making every piece count: I truly put thought into each part of the gift, so that every part of it was useful (i.e. putting them in reusable plastic boxes, as opposed to gift boxes). I really wanted this to be a win/win for both the wedding but also truly a gift to them.

  • Writing each person a letter: since every person I picked to be a part of my special day, hold a special place in my heart I wrote them a letter to explain just that, I also included a polaroid picture of the two of us that I thought was a really extra special touch to have as a keepsake.

There you have it friends, I hope this helps!!! Happy planning brides, let me know your thoughts xo
